Thake, Delayne Ruth (nee Buchholz), passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Roger Frederick Thake; dearest mother of Bruce Thake, Tom (Shanthi) Thake, Debra (Andy) Bird and Susan (Don) Heep; dear grandmother of 11; great grandmother of 12; sister of Henry (the late Marion) Buchholz and the late Adele (Ken) Bluder and Ken (survived by Anita) Buccholz; sister-in-law of the late Art (June) Thake; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Services: Memorial service at Meramec Bluffs, 50 Meramec Bluffs Drive, Ballwin, Sunday, December 14, 2 p.m. Private interment at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Lutheran Women's Missions League (LWML). As a service of the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Almost every day I thought about my friend Dee. I was her caregiver for a year when she still made her home in her cottage. Even after that, a few shifts spending time with her until she began residing at Meramec Bluffs. She was such a pleasure, and an inspiration to me.
