Your dad was such a fun loving person, always laughing, never met a stranger. He was the first Portell I met. His family lived only two blocks from mine. He gave me my first ride on a motorcycle back in 1965. I burned my leg on the muffler. Back then, he introduced himself as 'Maynard'. Of course, you had to have watched the TV sitcom, Dobie Gillis to understand. Maynard was a Gilligan type character (Gilligan's Island), played by the same actor.

I worked with Dennis for many years at Maritz.
He was always a happy person to work with.He will be greatly missed...

There are a lot of things that I will miss, but i think what i will miss most of all is the sound of his voice, his smiles and most of all his hugs. RIP Uncle Dennis
