Dee was such a sweet soul. I met Dee at Hixon Middle School when she was working for Special School District. When I met Dee, I comment that my grandmother´s maiden name was Coyle. We discovered that I was related to her husband Jim. That was the beginning of my warm friendship with Dee and Jim. I will miss the delightful conversations and connections I enjoyed with these two lovely cousins.

Dee was a wonderful friend of my late grandmother Helen Perkins. They both had a love for their cats! I spoke to Dee within the last year and was telling her about how I still have a dress she made for me when I was little and that all 3 of my girls have worn it too. I went home that day and found the dress. I text her a picture of it and also pictures of my daughters wearing it. She was happy to see the pictures and remembered everything about making that dress. She was a very special lady whom I lost contact with after my grandmas passing. I was glad I was able to connect with her in the last year and share those memories with her. I am attaching a picture of me in the dress sitting on my grandma's lap. I am sorry for your loss.

The first department I worked in at Famous Barr in Crestwood was the Domestics.Dee was the lead salesperson. She was so kind, friendly and a wonderful teacher. I alway looked forward to going to work because of her and Jo, who ran the custom curtain department. Because of the example Dee set, I worked for Famous for 16 years. Dee was an awesome friend & teacher. So nice to think of her being reunited with her son.
