My friends and I all joined the golf team at U. City high school our sophomore year after a disappointing experience on the baseball team the year before. Coach Congleton was warm, easygoing, and you could immediately tell he just loved the teaching the game and watching us fall in love with it, too.
The golf team was a defining part of our HS experience, thanks to him. After graduating, he brought us out to the Ozarks and took us out on the boat, told us war stories, stories about his time at Ford, and more. Good times.
We're planning a golf trip right now as a group. We'll be thinking of you while we're out there, Coach. Thanks for everything.

I worked with Don at the Ford Assembly plant in Hazelwood. Don was a dear, compassionate man and always a pleasure to be around. Never heard him complain and he always smiled. Kathy, you must have kept him very happy. So sorry for your loss.

Don was a shining star; always smiling and fun to be around. Always in my prayers. Took me to high school graduation and bought me a charm bracelet and beautiful graduation card. Still cherish them to this day and always will. Love you Don...always. Kathy, you were so good for him. I'm sorry you had to see him suffer. Thanks for bringing him to my class reunion committee Christmas Party in 2018. He always fit in with our gang and everyone adored him; we will forever and ever. God bless his soul and keep his family safe for him as he watches from above.

I work in activities at the nursing home that Don was at. I was so saddened to hear that Don passed away. He was such a fun person to be around and he had a great smile that I always loved seeing. My deepest condolences to Kathy and his entire family. He can now be at every cardinal game. He loved that Cardinals sweat shirt and cardinal pants. May his memory be a blessing. May he Rest In Peace.
