Earl lit up a every room I ever saw him enter. At Brentwood School District functions he was always smiling and his eyes sparkled as he scanned the room for people he knew - which was just about everybody. He was a rare and delightful guy.

Earl was not actually one of our classmates from the Steelville High School Class of 1952 as Joyce was, but over the years he became an integral part of our small close-knit group. He and his camera will be sorely missed at our future reunions for those of us still around. Condolences to his family.

Mr Brown was my eight grade teacher in 1947 at Old Beaufort school. Our school had a reunion in 1989 with lots of stories and memories. Some of us met with him about 10 years ago at Haggie's in Union. He was a kind pleasant person-My condolences to Joyce and his sons.

We were sorry to read about Earl's death. We had great times with Earl. They go back to his college days and the late forties. He had a yellow Chevrolet convertible in which he put concrete in the driver's door because of a hole. He stayed at our home one summer and I'm sure he got tired of hearing "Earl, don't step on my flowers". We will never forget him! May peace from Our Lord be with the Brown Family. Warren & Anita Ihms

I worked with Earl for many years putting together the Brentwood School District Newsletter and then he became a writer for our newspaper "The Pulse". He was such a wonderful man and one of my favorite people. A true friend indeed. He always came to our work about once a week with a loud "Hello everyone! Are you working hard or hardly working?" We will miss him deeply.

Earl Brown was a beloved teacher. The Browns chaperoned our class trip to Washington DC and NYC in 1961. The patience of saints...You will be missed and you will never be forgotten.
