Bascom, Elizabeth "Liza" Clarke
October 5, 1965- January 4, 2024 died peacefully at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her parents, William and Melanie Bascom, sister, Lee Bascom (Michael Anderson), nephew and niece Ames Bascom-Anderson and Isabel Bascom-Anderson, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, coworkers, and lifelong friends.
Liza was a proud graduate of Horton Watkins High School (1984) and Meramec Community College (1993). She celebrated 40 years of employment at the St. Louis County Library before her retirement in August. Liza loved all things fuzzy, sparkly, and pink. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of bands from the 70s and 80s and was never happier than solving a puzzle or reading a book.
The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Tan and Dr. Mary Nielsen for their many years of devoted care and the dedicated team at BJC Hospice, especially Nikki, Susan, Mollie, Tallie, and Sherri.
To celebrate Liza, please join the family at home on Saturday, January 13 between noon and 4:00. Interment at the family plot in Friendfield, South Carolina will follow in late January. Donations to the St. Louis County Library Foundation appreciated.
