Mackey, Ellen
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Beloved aunt of Elizabeth Mackey Perrin, Augustine Mackey Shodeen (Mark), Eugene J. Mackey, IV, Philip J. Mackey (Mary), Alexander M. Mackey (Alix), John W. Mackey (Hadley) and Jane Mackey Foster (Zach); dear sister-in-law of Jane Shapleigh Mackey and Augustine E. Mackey; great-aunt and friend to many.
Ellen will be remembered as a gentle and kind soul who was a devout Catholic, and loved to travel and spend time with her family. Her sweet and calming presence will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene J. Mackey, Jr. and Mary Mackey Layton; brothers, Eugene J. Mackey, III and John E. Mackey.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 106 N. Meramec Avenue, Clayton, MO.
A private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, 5239 West Florissant Ave., St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Catholic Charities of St. Louis.
