Beloved husband of Hope D. Rouse and the late Eleanor Scott Rouse; dearest father of Susan Rouse Hall (Steve), Ernest T. Rouse III, M.D. (Jane), John Scott Rouse (Janet) and Andrew McCown Rouse, M.D. (Tricia) and Hope Rouse's children Stephen C. Jones (Jody), Douglas D. Jones and Hope J. Welles (Deke); dear grandfather of nineteen and great-grandfather of six.Services: A Memorial Service will be conducted in the Sanctuary of the Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church, 9450 Clayton Road, Ladue on Thursday, July 13 at 11 a.m. No visitation. Private interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Ernest T. Rouse, Jr. Endowment Fund for the Department of Internal Medicine which was established in 1981, c /o the Washington University School of Medicine, Campus Box 8509, 4444 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108 or to the charity of one's choice. Hope and family,
We are thinking of you all and hoping that you are finding comfort in the wonderful person Ernie was and the amazing way he touched people. Even we who didn't know him well. He helped one see the good, the fun and the wonder of life. We were fortunate to know him, he made the world a better place.
