I met Father Frank at Sacred Heart School of Theology when we were seminarians. Frank was ordained on December 11thm 2006 and I was ordained on December 15th, 2006 in Pueblo, Colorado. We took classes together, especially Homiletics along with Father Chuck Huck. We were the only three in that class. We were all ordained in Decelber 2006. Frank was a gracious and kind man. A great example of servant and compassionate mentor. He loved the Lord and was always centered in seminary. My prayers to the family of Father Frank, to his parishioners and to all who touched in a very special way. I know that he shares in the beatific vision with Christ forever,

I first met Fr. Frank, then Frank Bussmann 39 yrs ago. We were both young. Frank had been in private law practice for two years and I was the Assistant Law Librarian in the Saint Louis County Courthouse. Years later I heard a voice cry out, "Joe." I turned around and saw a man in clerics. "Frank? I mean Fr. Frank?" "Joe, it's still Frank. We go back nearly 30 years." Six months later, I received rabbinic ordination. Two lawyers who found a second vocation later in life.
"Ha'Makom yenachem et'chem b'toch sha'ar ava'lay Tzion vee Yerushalaim"/ "May the Omnipresent comfort you [the Bussmann family and Fr.Frank's parishioners and colleagues] among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."

Fr. Frank only was our pastor for two years at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montgomery City. But he was so committed to involvement in our various committees. He worked with the people, met to discuss how to best prepare for special liturgies. He developed beautiful liturgies for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion. He was very thoughtful.

A kind man and a dear friend. He was so grateful for the gift of being a priest. He put so much effort into his preaching. I will miss him. Many thanks to his family for sharing him with us, and may God comfort you in your sadness. "Come, Fr. Frank, and share in your Master's joy!"
