As we heard in the eulogy at Frank's service, he was one of a kind when it came to volunteerism. Whether it was at GCLA, the ARPC, NRA recruiting or at his church, Frank was willing and eager to help. I honestly don't know how he did it.
As a mutual friend wrote upon hearing of Frank's death, "He was a DOER not a talker. When no one else could or would, Frank DID." I couldn't have said it better.
His advice and counsel have been a gift that I will not forget. Scott and Shannon, you and your entire families will be in our prayers as we all have only begun to miss him.

Pleas accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your father, Frank. Frank and I attended Kindergarten through Hancock High School together. He was always a kind, compassionate and special person. I was looking forward to seeing Frank at our 50th High School Reunion in October. He will be greatly missed.

Frank and I never met in person, but we talked about every week or so on the phone. Always upbeat and a pleasure to talk to. He did so much for NRA recruiting efforts and was always ready to do more. He will be missed greatly by all of us here.

It is hard to imagine a nicer man than Frank Mercer. I knew him through the Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club and found him to be one of the hardest worrking men I have known ---always with a smile.
He will be sorely missed. Frank and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with shock and sadness that I learned today of Frank's passing. Frank and I worked together from the beginning of G.C.L.A. and at A.R.P.C. The nation would benefit from having more citizens like Frank; he will surely be missed. My sincere condolences to his family and his many friends, from a former St. Louisan.

Dear Shannon, My deepest sympathy to you and Scott on the loss of your father. I received a call from my neighbor, Judy, who informed me of your father passing. I met Frank many years ago when joining the GCLA Gun Club. I assisted me in getting my CCW license and I worked with Frank several times at gun club functions. Every time Frank saw you, his face lit up and his big smile let you know you were welcome. I didn’t see Frank at several recent meetings but I was thinking about him and wished he had come. Frank was a kind person that you could feel comfortable around and I will truly miss him. God bless the family as they will also miss him dearly.

A true friend and confidant. He was able to walk amongst giants and never looked down upon anyone. Mentor, practitioner, and a great individual that will be sorely missed. He will now walk with God to watch over us all. Condolences and deepest sympathies to the family.
