Harrison, Glenn Alton
101, passed away after a short illness on November 21, 2021. Mr. Harrison was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Marcella Shelton Harrison, in 2004. Mr. Harrison retired from a 30 year career at McDonnell Douglas as an Industrial Engineer in 1982. A veteran of two wars, Mr. Harrison served as a B-17 pilot and POW in Stalag Luft III and Stalag VIIA in WWII and an Artillery Battery Commander during the Korean Conflict. In 2019, Mr. Harrison received the French Legion of Honor for his service in WWII. Mr. Harrison is survived by his daughter, Alison Harrison (husband Walter Peter), his son, Glenn Alton Harrison, Jr., (wife, Nancy) and two grandchildren, Jessica Harrison and Stephen Harrison. Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peter's, on December 2, 2021. Visitation will be held at 10:30 am, the funeral service at 11:30 am followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors at 1:30 pm. A Buchholz Mortuary Service.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Harrison. I only learned of him and his service to our country on a recent HBO documentary. I am thankful for him and his life long commitment to defending our country. My sincerest condolences.

We were blessed to come to know Glenn over several years at Park Place as his tablemates and friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the time he was with us, and will always remember him as a consummate gentleman.
