Gregory Jendusa Obituary

Gregory Raymond Jendusa died on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in St. Louis. He was born January 19, 1949 and grew up in Milwaukee, WI and Wheaton, IL. Greg's treasured moments cheering for the Packers, eating ice cream at Seven Dwarves, and wandering over cannons and museum inscriptions at Cantigny Park instilled lifelong passions for football, American history, and storytelling. Moving to St. Louis, MO as a teenager, these fervors grew into playing and coaching football at Parkway, ardent Mizzou football fanship, and study and career as a Social Studies teacher at Parkway South High School. At South, his brand of demonstrative instruction influenced the minds and experiences of students till he retired in 2009, still holding onto the treasured memories and friendships developed with his fellow faculty for the rest of his life.

He leaves behind children Francesca Passanise (Gary), Michael F. (Anna Baccellieri), Laura (Veer Kothari), Danny (Mary Claire Helman), and Meghan (Kyle Juvers) Jendusa; grandchildren Penelope and Hannah Curcuru and Lucas Jendusa; his brothers Scott and Michael J. Jendusa; and his beloved partner of nearly 30 years, Kathleen Swacker (nee Porter). He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Ione (nee With) Jendusa and father Peter Jendusa.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11 a.m., immediately followed by luncheon at St. Monica's parish hall. Friends and family are welcome.
