Odis Pickens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pitman Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Wentzville Chapel on Sep. 17, 2025.
Odis Martin Pickens, II passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 50.

He is survived by his children, Zach (Lizzie) Pickens and Emily Pickens; his partner, Tiffany Rowland and her four children, Macalyn, Kingston, Lyric, and Hunter; former spouse, Heather Pickens-Hollis, mother of Zach and Emily; and former spouse, Alena Wood and her two children, Kayla and Aronne; parents Randall E. Pickens, Sr. and Alice Pickens; siblings, Tammy Pickens, Patricia (Jay) Lederman, and Randy (Tina) Pickens, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Zoe and Zeke Villagomez, Jake, Sam, Lauren Lederman, and Gloria Brand, Kristine, Katie, and Caleb Pickens; grandchildren, Oliver and Owen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A 1993 graduate of Parkway South High School, he began his professional journey in High School, starting as an intern at City Mortgage. Through hard work and dedication, he rose to become a department lead during his 13 years with the company.

In 2014, he brought that same dedication to Walmart, where he started with part-time work assembling bikes and steadily worked his way up to the role of Assistant Store Manager. He was respected by coworkers for his calm demeanor, leadership, and willingness to listen without judgment.

A true outdoorsman at heart, he was an avid hunter and a passionate advocate for conservation. His love for nature was matched by his lifelong interest in aviation and flying. Whether in the woods or gazing at the sky, he found peace in the world around him.

He cherished his family deeply and loved spending time with them, especially during game nights. He was a fierce yet fun-loving competitor in Uno, and an exceptional billiards player - the kind who could run the table blindfolded. A loyal Oklahoma Sooners fan, he cheered on his team with unwavering enthusiasm every season.

He was proud to be an organ donor, leaving behind the gift of sight; he donated his eyes.

He was loved by so many. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, quiet strength, and the genuine care he showed for others. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

In memory of Odis, memorial donations may be made to: Missouri Department of Conservation, Donations, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180
