Gregory Keeven Obituary
Most beloved son of Jerry and Mary Keeven (nee Barrett); loving older brother of Ellie and Janice Keeven; beloved grandson of Frank (Kathryn) Barrett and William (Dorothy) Keeven. Much loved nephew and cousin to the Barrett, Keeven, and Euper families. Loyal and best friend to Adam, Craig, A.J.,
Alison, and so many others.
Greg was a proud 2005 graduate of DeSmet Jesuit High School, a member of DeSmet National Honor Society; he had just completed his first year at UMR. He was a member of the UMR Mini Baja Car Team, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was active in his parish at Our Lady of Loretto during his grade school and high school years. Greg was blessed with the qualities of leadership, humility, and a great sense of humor. He truly embodied the DeSmet spirit of 'Men for others'. He loved the great outdoors, his years as a BSA, playing his guitar, and spending weekends at the farm and the 'ranch' with his friends.
Greg will be truly missed by his family and friends. We may have lost a son and a brother, but God has gained a most precious Angel. Greg continues to give, even in death. He donated his organs, so that others may continue to live a better life. Greg is truly a hero to those of us left in this life. Through his generosity, his legacy will be able to live on in his organ donations.

My son Joe was a classmate of Greg's at DeSmet. I just wanted you to know how much you have been in all of our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Greg will continue to be a "Man for Others". God bless all of you.

Greg always exhibited the true Christian Spirit when playing sports. He was a valued person athletically and morally on the combined St. Aloysius/Loretto CYC soccer team. He was a true blessing and joy to know and coach. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Greg was someone who i have known for over 10 years since kindergarden. he was always a wonderful person to be around. always was the frist to help you with your porblem. He was a great young man and will be deeply missed by more people then he will ever know.

Mary, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what you are going through at this time of sorrow. Just keep the faith and know that Greg touched many lives. And even though it may be hard to see through all this confusion--just know that Greg's life was all a plan from God. May God grant you the peace and strength to carry you through this ordeal and know your friends are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.

Jerry and Mary, you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember well your wedding, and then baptizing Gregory. On the day of his funeral, I will offer Mass for Gregory in Trinidad, and we have been remembering him in the Prayers of the Faithful all week. My prayers too for the Droesch family, whom I have known all my life.

My daughter, Courtney Hayes, is a classmates of Janice's and I have to say that I can completely relate to Janice at this very sad time! I too lost my older brother suddenly when I was in 8th grade. He also was a graduate of DeSmet Jesuit High School; which he loved with all of his heart. You are all in our prayers. Only time will help to heal.
