Wilcoxen, Harold Dean

February 23, 1935 - July 6, 2025

With sadness for Harold "Dean" Wilcoxen who passed on July 6, 2025. Born to George Wilcoxen and Esther May (née Babcock). Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George, Carl, and Paul, and two wives, Mary Lou (née Buschhorn) and Marlyn Louise (née Behnken) Stone. Survived by Louise, Linda, Terry Dean and Dale, children of his first marriage to Mary Lou; Ron, Cathy and Chris, children in his second marriage to Marlyn; and his loving companion, Bee Horner. Blessed with 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dean proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War before becoming a successful businessman, starting Wilcoxen Office Supply stores in St. Charles county. Dean retired to Fort Myers, Florida. Dean is remembered for his adventurous spirit, sharp wit, sense of humor and skill with numbers. Dean described himself as a "poor kid from south St. Louis" who became an ordinary man living an extraordinary life.

Dean's ashes will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on July 22, 2025. A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
