Holly Baker Obituary
July 14, 1963 - December 17, 2024
Holly Marie Baker departed this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was the beloved sister of Macon Baker (fiancée Angela Webber) and a cherished friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Macon L. and Mildred "Chic" Baker.
Born on July 14, 1963, Holly grew up in St. Louis where she attended Parkway South High School. Holly later attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she earned her degree in Secondary History Education and K-12 Special Education. She then began her teaching career at St. Cecilia Catholic School before becoming a paraprofessional at Fairmount Elementary School in the Francis Howell School District. Holly soon was employed at Francis Howell High School as a special education teacher, a role she would fill until her retirement in June 2024.
A Celebration of Life program will be held on Sunday, January 12 at 2 p.m. at Pezold Banquet Center in St. Charles (5701 State Rte N, 63304), followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siteman Cancer Center.

Miss Baker was my 7th grade homeroom teacher and my 8th grade history teacher at St. Cecilia's. She taught us how to do very detailed outlines with our history notes (roman numerals, capital letters, numbers, lower-case letters, etc.) and I still think of her when I find myself doing outlines for my job. I'm sorry to hear of her passing and I will keep her family in my prayers.
