Knight, James "Mike"
70, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2022 at his home in St. Louis, MO. Mike leaves his daughters Nikki (Kris) Wright and Kelley Knight, his sisters Ruth (Kent) Jennings and Marilyn (Dan) Coplin, his granddaughters Poppi and Marley Wright, his niece, two nephews and many dear friends, all of whom he deeply loved. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mike lived a life that was filled with bass fishing, boating, Cardinals baseball, family, friends, and good times. "Captain Reverend Doctor" Knight was a fun loving father, brother, Pappy, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed, forever.
Services: Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on Monday, December 19. Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion:

The Friends of Fisher House St. Louis extends our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mike Knight. We are grateful to Ms. D. Schoemehl for making a memorial contribution in honor of Mr. Knight and his service to the USA. We are honored to be able to serve Veteran´s families with these funds.

After my 1st husband passed away, my daughter Laura started her freshman year at Mizzou. Mike and a group of our guy friends all went to Mizzou on Dad´s weekend to be Laura´s substitute dad. I will never forget the support Mike and the other dads showed during our difficult time!
