Slover, James Edward
39, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, of
natural causes at his St. Louis
home. He was born May 28, 1983,
in San Diego and graduated in
2002 from Lebanon (Mo.) High
School. In 2006, he received a BFA
in theater performance with a
minor in political science from
Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
His light burned bright - kind,
generous, loyal. In 2011, he began
what would become the St. Louis
Mullen Foundation. During the
holidays, he coordinated deliveries
for Joe Murphy's Christmas for Kids. In his time at Stray Rescue, he wanted to bring home all the dogs.
James was an accomplished theater artist, working with the St.
Louis Actors' Studio, St. Louis Shakespeare, Citilites Theatre, the
Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation and the Kevin Kline
Awards. James managed his first political campaign as a teenager.
He had been managing his second Congressional campaign, for
Bethany Mann (MO-03).
James leaves his loving partner of 16 years, Gabe Hartwig, and
furry children Piper and Leo; siblings Steve (Kara) Wilmoth,
Amanda (Ricky) Jones, Tara (Brian) Blackburn, Josh Slover, and
Renee Pena; a mother, Tina Wilmoth; a father, Terry Christner;
13 nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
Services: 5-8 p.m. Nov. 7 at Blue Strawberry, 364 N. Boyle Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mullen
Foundation (mullenstl.org).

As his mother there are so many memories I have but I will cherish the memories of the weekend I spent with him before he past we were there visiting him and Gabe Friday and Saturday before he past went home Sunday morning and Sunday night my witty fun loving big hearted and so much more son past away
