Rainville, Jane
76, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away on May 11 from complications related to kidney failure. She was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to serving others and living the values of compassion and humility.
Jane was born on Sept. 11, 1947, to Odell and Henrietta Virgin in St. Louis. After graduating from University City High School in 1965, she served for a year in VISTA, the domestic version of the Peace Corps and precursor to AmeriCorps, assisting families in Harlan County, Kentucky.
Jane returned home to study nursing in St. Louis and began a nearly 60-year career as a highly respected surgical technician. She also served as a police dispatcher for the University City Police Department for three years.
Jane retired in 2016 and spent her time gardening and reading, playing with her cats and following her strong interest in current politics. Though she lived in various places across America, she remained a lifelong fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball and a strong bond to the place she called home, St. Louis.
Jane is survived by her brother Richard Virgin, her son William Speaks, daughter Allison Seale, grandchildren Alex and Sophia Speaks, and her cat Bandit.
The family will hold a private ceremony and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made Doctors Without Borders or your local Humane Society, organizations Jane felt strongly about.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs.Rainville. I knew her and her daughter for a short period of time from Camden. She was a very nice person. And will truly be missed.
