Hansen, Jeffrey Lyle
64, passed away peacefully at home on after a recent diagnosis of colon cancer, Sunday, August 25, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Jeff wore many hats throughout his life: husband, father, Papa Bear, brother, son, friend, coach, dog dad, comedian, life of the party, frequent flyer, golf instructor, and a favorite addition to any golfing foursome. When his kids entered high school sports, he became their biggest fan. In recent years, he embraced his most cherished role as Papa Bear to his three granddaughters: Sophie Hansen, Olivia Schoelch, and Ellie Schoelch.
Jeff's deepest affection was for his beloved "hunny," Stephanie. Their careers provided them with opportunities to explore the world together, constantly seeking their next adventure. Jeff's humor touched many, with Stephanie always being his greatest cheerleader and motivator. Despite life's challenges, Jeff strived to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His storytelling and sense of humor will be fondly remembered.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Sheldon, and her husband, Edward. Father-in-law, Larry Prueitt, stepmother Karen Hansen and brother-in-law Jim Good.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (Prueitt), his children Lyle, Curtis, Rachel Schoelch (Matthew), and Sarah Hansen, his father Lyle Hansen, his brother Jim (Joni) Hansen, and sisters Wanda Good and Karen (Chris) Stauffer. Treasured son-in-law to Rose Prueitt, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
