Darling Duffs,
I was so sad not to be with you for the celebration of Jerry's life. Chris, I rang Bill's bells all afternoon for you. My cousin Tom said it was a service worthy of the man.
My first memory of Jerry was when Chris offered her Dad's help to keep me from being apprehended for some college prank. Next, Jerry and Frank hustling our apartment furniture up and down stairs while Doug Kline sat on the couch! How many dinners has Jerry treated me to when we hit Phoenix at the same time? Almost as many as Bill picked up the check for. He gave me great advice when I needed it, and while we laughed a LOT whenever we were together, that deeper side of him was always within reach too.
A fine man has gone to his reward. Dee, Jim, Susie, may you take comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated by so many of us and how much he always and obviously loved you.
Chris, we'll share a sunset toast to Jer on the beach at Coronado soon.
Love,
Colleen

Dee, Chris, Susie and Jim,
I'm very sorry that you've lost Jerry.
He was a good man with a great mind.
He had a truly kind heart and always
displayed that keen wit and sense of humor. My life was enriched because my best friend had a great dad who also happened to be our eighth grade constitution teacher, Jerry Duff.
From the cafeteria of St. Dominic's, he taught us not only the law of the land, he taught us to think and he taught us to laugh. I learned about unions and the beer truck drivers from Jerry: Local 133. Though I had not seen him in many years, it seems like almost yesterday. We all will miss him. May your lifetime of wonderful memories comfort you at this sad time in your lives. And may you feel sustained by the grace and love of our Creator and his son, Jesus Christ.

Dear Mrs. Duff, Chris, Susie and Jim,
So sorry to hear the news of Mr. Duff's passing...Though I haven't seen him for many years, I will always remember his warm smile and kindness. But, most of all, I will remember him as the great teacher of our U.S. Constitution classes at St. Dominic's. For most of us, he played an important role in the foundation of our basic understanding of government and law. How generous of him to give his time in this way.
My prayers are with you as you prepare for his memorial. May all you wonderful memories comfort each of you.

Susie, Jim, Chris and Dee,
I worked for Mr. Duff for several years at his law firm. He was a wonderful boss who treated me more like a granddaughter than an employee. He was such a caring and generous man. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Dear Chris except my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dad who always meant so much to you. Please give my love and strength to your mom also. Pits and Bill are keeping dad company and the three of them are watching over all of us. If we weaken there will be some major butt kicking when we get there. And I mean major. So lets keep the faith.
Love to you, your mom, sister and all your mom and dads family, friends and relatives.

Our deepest sympathy to Dee, Chris, Susie, Jim and family. Our friendship goes back many years. We always looked forward to our lunches and dinners where we solved the world's problems after a few cocktails. We are going to miss these wonderful times but thoughts of Jerry will always remain with us. We have many fond memories of this wonderful person and great friend. We are honored to pass on his usual parting words, Bless you Jerry Duff.

Frank and I express our deepest sorrow at the passing of Jerry Duff. Frank and Jerry shared mutual birthdays. We worked in the same building for many years and both as an attorney and "neighbor" he was admired, respected and fun to be around always.

Dear Susie, Dee, Christie and Jim,
Your father was an amazing and wonderful man and he will be dearly missed by all. Although I did not have the chance to meet him in person, I met his spirit through the voice of Susie, who shared so much with me about his life and his career, including his work with the Unions of America. Bravo to a man who lived his life in the service of others! May he Rest in Peace. Blessings,

Clearly a powerful influence on you, Chris, in the best possible way. Each time I met him, he was so attentive, with a laugh just seconds away. You now have a powerful guardian angel watching over you and the family, along with Bill. My prayers and love to you and yours.
