To Joan’s Family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy over the loss of your loved one. I was so saddened by the news of Joan’s untimely passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Joan. I will always remember her kindness and eagerness in sharing her legal experience with me when I began employment in the City Counselor’s Office. Joan was my lifesaver. Now, she is your guardian angel - protecting and guiding you until you see her again. Joan leaves behind wonderful and loving memories to keep close to our hearts. I am so, so sorry for your family's loss. I have wonderful and fond memories of Joan, her smile and her laughter. It is devastating to lose someone at her young age. I lost my sister Carolyn, whom you may remember, 14 years ago when she was 46. I will always remember you, your sister and your mother with love.
