John and I go back to about 1973 when we were in a band together. We played all the songs that were on the charts back then. We kept in touch throughout the years seeing movies, concerts or just going out to dinner. We would occasionally get together with some other friends and have a jam session. There won't be a day go by that I won't hear a song that reminds me of John.

God bless you Donna. I played drums in John's band, Shade, back in the 1973-1975 time range. He was always a good friend and a talented musician. John and you are in our prayers. Rich and Beth Ampleman

To the Gamache family: Although I only knew John in his childhood days and I certainly remember his musical talents and his desire to have all his younger siblings leave him to his quiet time, I was glad to hear about the wonderful person he became and how he was a blessing to others. I think of all of you often, and you all are in my heart at this difficult time. I know God will strengthen you as a family and bring you peace until you and I are rejoined with John and my best friend, Nancy. Love, Debbie (Mueller) Tilman, your backyard neighbor when you lived on St. Catherine in Florissant

John was a close friend of my younger brother Pat who passed away a little over a year and a half ago. John was a true and loyal friend to my brother during some very difficult times in my brother's life. I'll always remember John as the smart, witty and musically gifted friend of my kid brother in high school. He was a joy to be around and I'll never forget his big heart and his compassion for society's dispossessed.
