John Ostmann Obituary

Ostmann, John Jack H. of St. Charles, Missouri, fell asleep in Jesus' arms on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the age of 87. Devoted husband of Dorothy W. Ostmann (nee: Schaefer); dear son of the late John H. and Esther Ostmann; loving father of Larry (Shirley) Ostmann, Wanda Ostmann, Debbie (Mike) O'Rourke, and Mark (Michele) Ostmann; cherished grandfather of Emily, Marty (Megan) Ostmann, Anna (Dave) Rice, Erin (Jeff) Theobald, Joseph O'Rourke, and Eric, Dustin (Sara), Dylan, and Rainna Ostmann; great-grandfather of Jack, Ella, Liam, and Jacob; dear brother of Arline (the late Kenny) Dunkmann, Geneva (Fred) Willbrand, David Paul (Eunice) Ostmann, Orville (Harriet) Ostmann, and Donna (the late Norbert) Heitgerd. Dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many. Jack graduated from Francis Howell High School in 1944. He was an avid collector and enjoyed his shed. He was inducted into the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A second visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 3866 Harvester Rd., St. Charles, MO on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Music Ministry or American Diabetes Association. Visit Baue.com.
