Captain Piskulich was a great leader in the 128TH Artillery. I served as a Platoon Leader under his command. He was a practical, great leader with a completely positive attitude. All the men of our unit considered Cpt. John among the best we had. Many memories of Cpt. John leading with many great ideas. His "Poop for Troops" memo's were a work of art with more information than any other written communication. I think of him often with a smile and sad to know he is no longer with us. He was one you never forget. He served us well.

My brother Tony told today of John's death. I am truly saddened by his death. John was a friend and a Kappa Sigma brother. He lived directly across the street from my younger brother, Tony, and was close friends with the Forcelledo family. Every time I came in to visit my family, I would spend time with John sitting in traditional south St. Louis fashion outside the house in the driveway to the garage and BS while we smoked some good cigars. I would always bring him cigars, some were Cubans from my trips to Hong Kong. I always envied John and his relationship with some Kappa Sigma brothers (John Milanvotis, Bellows, et al), they always had great stories to tell of their years at the KS house. Rest in Peace, John.

As kids,I was one of brother Bobs best friends, that's how I knew John. In that time we called John "Sonny", don't know why, just did. When John was at Mizzou he had an old model "T". He gave it to Bob when he graduated from MU. We kids helped John literally saw the top off. John was the kind of "Big brother" all of us younger kids wished we had. John was one of the good guys, I'm sure he will be missed. My prayers to the family. Now the entire Piskulich family is together in that special place. God bless.
