John Warner Obituary

Fr. John B. "Jack" Warner, SJ, died Oct. 4, 2025, in Florissant, Missouri. He was 80 years old, a Jesuit for 63 years and a priest for 51 years. He is remembered best for Teatro La Fragua, a theater company he founded in El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras. A graduate of St. Louis University High School, he taught there as a Jesuit scholastic. Memorial gifts may be made to Teatro La Fragua through the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province website: www.JesuitsCentralSouthern.org. His life will be celebrated during a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The funeral will be livestreamed at jesuits.family/fr-warner-funeral with burial to follow. A reception and celebration of his life and legacy will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Louis University High School, 4970 Oakland Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
