John Wiese Obituary

Wiese, John David John David Wiese of St. Louis, age 15, was called home to be with his Lord in heaven on February 3, 2016. John David had a love for sports and music, excelling in tennis, swimming, and piano. His tenacity and hard work brought him considerable recognition, but he was most proud of the relationships that he forged as he honed his skills. He was so thankful for the many people who invested in him including his coaches and teachers. He was a bright, engaging sophomore at Westminster Christian Academy. He had completed all required work for the rank of Eagle Scout. John David was blessed with opportunities to serve in various missions around the world. He appreciated worshipping with Summit Ministries at E. Free Church, and studying with the teen CBS program, and AWANAS. Among his many happy memories were camping trips, the Philmont ranch hike, playing ping pong and tennis, and Leland, Michigan. Most of all, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He is survived by his father, Harold E. Wiese; his mother, Jane H. Wiese; and his siblings, Christian, Daniel, and Elizabeth Wiese, and by a host of extended family. John David will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, but especially by his loving family. Only eternity will reveal the impact JD had on the lives he touched and with whom he shared God's great love. He truly leaves this world a better place, and we are grateful for the time God gave us with him. Services: A Funeral Service celebrating John David's life will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 7700 Davis Dr. at Hanley Rd., Clayton, on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Westminster Christian Academy 800 Maryville Centre Drive Chesterfield, Missouri 63017. A SERVICE OF THE LUPTON CHAPEL

I can´t believe it´s been eight years... Since that precious young man left us for the glories of heaven. I think about him so often in the impact he had in his short life. I think about the last time we saw him. We went for dinner with him and Chip and he ordered some sort of flaming dessert that was gargantuan! Baked Alaska maybe? Every year about this time my thoughts and prayers are with all of the Wiesie family. And I long for the day we will all be together again in heavenly realms. God´s grace and peace always.

JD is easily one of the greatest people I have been blessed by the Lord to meet. Whenever he entered a room, everyone's faces seemingly brightened and it was as if his presence made everything alright. It's not often that I get to meet somebody whose godliness is so apparent and abundant, JD truly reflected his faith in such a fantastic way. JD was one of the funniest, nicest, sweetest and most compassionate people I have ever met. JD is an inspiration and a role model, we all love and miss him dearly. But I am confident that he is with our Lord now. We will get to meet him again, may God help you in this time of grieving.
You all remain within my prayers, God bless you all.

Dearest Chip and Jane,
Upon our return to Stl we heard the devastating news about Your precious sons death. It is hard to grasp the depth of sorrow that your whole family is experiencing. We are so sorry.
When I think of the Wiese family I always think of your strong faith. JD always had a sparkle to him that resonated with all of us.
May you find comfort and solace knowing he was an angel on earth. We are better people for knowing him.

Chip and Jane
I was saddened to hear about John David this morning. It's been many years since we've seen you or the kids but wanted to reach out and let you know people from all around the country are praying for your family. I've heard some wonderful things about your son from a classmate through friends all the way to Dallas. I'm pretty sure it's not possible to make Heaven a better place but Jesus has certainly welcomed his good and faithful servant home.

Dear Chip and Jane,
Few of us really know or understand what you are feeling. The enormous number of people that attended John D's funeral is indicative of the esteem in which you and your family are held by your friends and relatives. We have John's photo in our home as a reminder of what our off spring can be.
May his soul be eternal.

Trying to comprehend why the Almighty would take such a young soul, placing myself in the parents' place; asking the question: Why? I never met J.D. but know he was a quality human being and God must know something we don't about J.D.'s overall purpose God has for him both in the past and eternity. That is the grace of physical death for all of us who totally trust God. My prayers are with you.

Dear precious Wiese family: I had the great privilege and joy of teaching John David and Christian, Daniel, and Elizabeth as they eagerly learned about the love of Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We have sorrow now but we will all rejoice with him in heaven.

Dear Chip, Jane and family,
Having just lost my son, Jesse, a few months ago, I can really feel what you are feeling. I am crying as I even write these words. Nothing is as bad as losing a child. You don't really cry for them because you know they are safe with God, but you cry for yourself because they were such a vital part of your lives. You can't imagine life without them and now you are faced to do just that. Please know that I am praying for all of you. Jane, if you need to talk to another mama who has had to send her son to heaven early, please contact me. Whenever I feel so sad that I don't know what to do, I just remind myself that because of what Jesus did, I will be with my sweet Jesse again and all will be right forever and forever. Keep holding on to the thought that you WILL see John David again. I'm sure that my Jesse has made a new friend and that he and John are praising God like they never did before. Much love, Cathy Mullins
