Mrs. Farmer....what child who ever attended preschool at NCCS could ever forget this kind, loving teacher. The very first teacher most of them ever had in a school setting. Patient, loving, kind, and a calmness that is required by a preschool teacher ...all of the qualities that she possessed was what she always showed to her students. She was their second 'mom' and her students loved her. Never to be forgotten by hundreds....including my family. God surely has a special place for this angel in heaven.

Ms. Farmer loved me and my children with the eyes and arms of our Father. I needed her to love us exactly where we were and she did-without reservation or judgement. She is an amazing example of God's love and was placed in our lives to better our journey and help heal me in my brokenness. She will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for your love and support.

My heart is very heavy tonight as I have learned of the passing of one very sweet lady who made such an impression not only on the lives of my husband and I .....but on the lives of our children....and hundreds of other children. She had one of the most important jobs that one would hold. She was a pre-school teacher. She was a sweet lady with a calm demeanor. I never saw her "fall apart" when stress happened. She knew that it was going to all work out. She was very patient and never hurried. She took the time to teach and explain concepts so that all understood. Time was not so important. She would lovingly find a way to help them understand. A parent could leave their child with her and rest assured that no one would love and nurture them more. She loved children with a love that is rare. She had a genuine love for all of her students. You could sense the overwhelming love that she had deep within her heart. She made everyone feel that they were the most important person in the room. She called each of her charges one name.....one name only......and that summed up her life. She called them "LOVE". RIP Joyce Farmer. I am certain that you have heard the words....Welcome Home thy faithful servant. Heaven is rejoicing upon your arrival. We weep for our loss. We look forward to seeing you again! We love you and you will always have the most special place in our hearts!
