Nancy, David, Jennifer, Kim, Jeffrey and Jeremy,
Please find confort and pride in Kevin. His legacy to me is as one of the nicest people I have ever know. Always friendly, always pleasant and always a smile on his face and what a huge infectious smile. Every time I saw him we would discuss our favorite subject - sports and he would tell me he heard me on the radio. What a neat, neat, nice, pleasant person. He will be sorely missed by anyone who know him. You should all be very proud of him.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Muchnick & family,
I was so sad to hear the news of Kevin's passing. I was out of town during this time or I would have been there to express to you personally my thoughts about Kevin. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin at Citimortgage. Kevin was always so kind, polite and willing to pitch in to help anyone. I feel blessed that I was able to meet him and work with him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Kim Smith

I briefly met Kevin during his first year at UMSL. My experiences with him told me was stand up guy.
It is a sad time but also a time to celebrate not who he was but who he is.
Kevin will be missed by all who ever meet him.

He was a great uncle and I will truely miss him. I loved him so much and will never forget all the times that we hung out. He was like a dad to me and helped me solve my problems. He loved me so much that Saturday I was the first person he wanted to see while he was in the emergency room. And I will never forget in that room we cried and laughed together and I sure hope everybody who knows him will remember the great times that they had with him.

Dear Family,
While I did not know Kevin well, I was fortunate enough to know him through Greek Life at UMSL. Upon hearing of his passing just moments ago, my comment was "how terribly sad ... he was one of the GOOD GUYS". After reading this guest book, I think that is the general concensus. While only God in heaven can truly comfort you in this time of loss, I am sure you take heart knowing how well he was thought of by those whose lives he touched. My prayers are with you.

Our deepest sympathy and prayer are with you during this time. We pray the Lord will strength you all. “Look to the hills from whence comes your help, your help comes from the Lord . . .,” Psalms 121
God Bless you all,

Kevin & Jen with their favorite people!

We Say Goodbye to You Kevin…

There are so many things that we just want to say,
Just standing here wishing that we had just one more day,
We were there with you the whole time,
But we couldn’t talk to you so we make this rhyme,
We remember the good times we shared through the years,
The laughing, fighting, funny faces, and even the tears,
We think of all the memories of when we seen you smile,
And hold onto that, even if it’s just a little while,
We love you so much and we don’t know what to do,
We just pray and hope that your love will help us make it through,
We sit there and reminisce about you and all you liked to do,
To cardinals, karate, your family, and Mickey and Minnie too,
There is so much that each of us just would like to say,
So we tell you now, that in our hearts you will forever always stay,
And we one know that we will see you again in heaven some day!

We love you very much and there are so many words to describe how we all feel about you. The word that comes to mind is “Perfect”. You were a perfect son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. We thank you for everything that you have ever done for us and we promise that we will never forget you. You will remain in our mind, soul, and hearts forever. Goodnight Kevin and we will see you again someday.

Love and Kisses, Your Family

Jen, Mr. & Mrs. Muchnick and to all of Kevin's family and friends:

STUNNED is not a strong enough word to describe the way I felt upon learning of Kevin's sudden passing. I've asked myself "WHY?" numerous times since. But I'm not nearly smart enough to come up with that answer. It's a chilling reminder of how fragile life truly is.

It's ironic I learned of Kevin's passing while watching Albert Pujols compete in the Home Run Derby. How appropriate and eerie considering what a GREAT Cardinals fan Kevin was.

I admired Kevin immensely and feel very fortunate to have been his friend.

I'll never forget the night Kevin and I were driving home together from a Cardinals game when we both learned of Jack Buck's death. And we attended Mr. Buck's memorial service together prior to the start of a Cardinals - Angels game. And now five years later Kevin is with the real Angels in heaven.

Even though Kevin's life on Earth was far too brief, the impact he made on the lives of so many people will always be his legacy.

Kevin: I will miss you and always love you. God bless you Kevin Muchnick.

Kevin my dear old friend, I will truly miss.

I offer my deepest condolence to the Kevin’s Mother and Father. My deepest sympathy to Kim his big sister and to Jeremy and Jeff his little brothers.

To Jen his loving wife and one true love, there are no words I can write now to tell you how much I feel for you and care for you.

In this time of need I am here to offer my support and comfort over your great loss and be there for you.

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’” Isaiah 41:13

Mr. and Mrs. Muchnick,

No matter how much I write, I could not come close to telling you how much Kevin's friendship has meant over the last 19 years. We rejoyced in the happy moments of eachother's life and brought comfort in the sad moments. He always brought a smile to my face with his humor and warm heart.

I have many memories of him that I will always hold dear. One that comes to mind is when we were in our early teens, we use to call sports talk radio. One time during a Cardinals postgame show broadcasted from Mike Shannons we called Joe Buck and asked him if Jack Buck was related to Terry Steinbach (we pronounced it SteinBUCK on the air). Joe Buck said "God, I hope not" and Mike Shannons errupted in laughter. That moment kind of brings together Kevin's sense of humor with his love of sports.

One thing I realized today is that Kevin was always there to help console me after every breakup I ever had on my way to meeting my wife, Susan. I feel blessed to have known him and will hold him close to my heart the rest of my life. I Love You and will Miss You Kevin.

David and Nancy,
I met Kevin when I was 15 years old. Hung out with him all during high school and we joined the fraternity together in college. Your son was one of the nicest and most sincere people I have ever met. On behalf of my family, I offer you the deepest sympathy. He will be missed by all who knew him and those of us who were blessed to grow up and become men with him. The memories we have of him will never be forgotten.

To Kevin’s Dearest Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Although I left St. Louis when I entered the U.S. Air Force in 2001, I don't think I've made a trip back home and not caught up with Kevin. The last time we were all together was last October, it was my first game at the new stadium and my wife Joanne's first playoff game. Somehow Kevin managed to acquire tickets.

In all the years I've known Kevin I can't recall one argument or cross word. I could talk with Kevin about anything when we were in college and still felt that way, even though I only had the chance to see him every year or two.

Kevin was a true and trusted friend and his life touched many people in a positive way. That is how this remarkable young man will be remembered by those of us fortunate enough to have known him.

Very Respectfully,

Steve Pennington

Kevin was a gentle and kind man that everyone loved. I first met Kevin 11 years ago at University of Mo St. Louis. I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers go to you at this time of sadness. I know exactly how you all are feeling as I lost my sister at the age of 27 last year. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of Kevin are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of Kevin that are the most precious.
