Our sister in law was involved in many activities but she would take the time to go out of the way to do you a favor. She was forgiving and generous. She will be missed. So sorry for the loss of all who loved her

I will remember Mrs. W always for her welcoming smile and generous spirit. She treated me like family even early on when I had just started dating Ed, and continued to show concern for my family throughout the years. I know her beauty will live on in her children and grandchildren. She will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies. Fred and Pam Kramer. I just had lunch today at the Village and heard the sad news.

My condolences to the Walters family on the loss of your beloved Laurie. I too met Laurie through the Gateway Locomotives. Laurie you touched so many lives through your warmth, your welcoming smile, by giving and caring. Laurie continued to do for others even when she was sick. Her smile and kindness was ever present and shined for all to see. I admire all that she did from working at the village auction, to delivering bread to pantries etc. until the end. I'll always remember sharing that last hockey tournament to Detroit with you Laurie. She was there for Scott even though she wasn't feeling well. You will be greatly missed Laurie. May the angels guide you home and may you rest in peace. Amen

The first time I met Laurie she had a car full of bread, bagels, and rolls which she was delivering to various charities and homes. I marveled at her enthusiasm and dedication to her fellow man which she could help. She also had the greatest and funniest way of telling stories about all she did for charity...the people she met and helped. If I ever wanted to smile I just stood by Laurie and listened to her stories and adventures helping others. David and Scott have always been friends and I hope they can share special feelings about loosing a parent.

Laurie loved to play bridge and played in several groups including Channel 9 Bridge Club. She was a positive person never having a discouraging word for anyone. She wore a smile that was true gold. She will be missed!
