Dear Checkett family,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Lil's death. She was a great lady. I will always remember her birthday gift to me--seven panties, each one embroidered with one of the days of the week! After all these years, it still makes me smile.
You are in our hearts. Thank you for so many memories over the years.

Patty, Denny & Jim, Our sincere condolences on the death of you mother. I can still picture your mom & dad when I was just a kid & we would visit. The parents would talk & the boys would go & explore the original construction of hwy 40. Your mom & my mom's time go back to Rosat--Kain. I'm sure they're recanting those happy days.

Dear cousins,
Dottie and I were surprised and deeply honored to be mentioned in your Mom's obituary. She and your Dad were special people in their own right and together they knew how to share their love with others. When we were with them we always felt the warm glow of their affection. After my parents passed away, they became my second set of parents - how lucky can anyone get?
Dottie and I send our love to each one of you.

Mrs. Checkett had to be a saint, she put up with me and I was the rottenest kids on Arlington Dr. I'm sure she is getting a tour of heaven by all the other angels from St. Luke's that went before her, and I hope she puts in a good word for all of us.

Mrs. Checkett was one of the absolute nicest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. It is no wonder she and Harry raised such a marvelous family. I rejoice today that she is in a better place with our Lord. My sincerest sympathies to all of you.
