Rev. Llewellen "Llew" Heigham

1933 - 2017

Heigham, Jr., Rev. Llewellyn Llew died into the arms of a loving God on Wednesday August 2 after a long illness. Beloved husband of 56 years of Ella Jean (nee Dixon); father of Angela (Glen), Juanita (Yuki) and Tre', (Melissa); grandfather of Nicole Gillis, Jace Heigham Kunisada and Emily and Owen Heigham; brother of Nickie Jones. Llew was born on September 9, 1933 in Washington, DC, grew up in Oxen Hill, MD and graduated from U of MD before joining the Navy. After answering God's call to the ministry, Llew earned 3 Masters degrees (St. Paul's School of Theology, Drew U and Princeton U) and a DMin from U of the South in 1983. He was administrative faculty at St. Paul School of Theology, served parishes in Toms River, NJ and Blue Springs, Independence, Moberly, Kirkwood and Carondelet, MO. He always said that he could have made no better career choice than serving people and the God he loved!
