Lois was my grandma. She was the most wonderful person I ever met - so amazingly strong and happy and together. She really was the glue that held our family together - she was the one to organize and host all the holidays and parties and always the one bringing everyone together for events. She kept everyone happy as best she could and made sure everyone was getting along. She was so amazing in every way and sadly, it was only recently that I truly realized how much I admired her. She was an angel that truly blessed the lives she touched.

I met Lois about 20 years ago when as a teenager I became the newsletter editor for the MO Arabian Horse Association. I wasn't sure if they would even let someone as young and new as myself have the job. Lois was always very supportive of me. I enjoyed working with her for the last 20 years on various projects, shows, trail rides and meetings. Her reasonable, positive demeanor helped myself and so many throughout the years. I remember celebrating Harry and Lois' 50th wedding anniversary at a horse show! I will truly miss her.

I first met Lois more than 30 years ago at a Missouri Arabian Horse Association meeting. Since that time I’ve come to admire and respect her as a woman intensely dedicated to her family and friends, the Arabian horse, and the Missouri Arabian Horse Association. Her positive thinking, irrepressible spirit and gentle demeanor endeared her to many . Lois will be thought of with love and affection for many years to come. The picture of Lois is from a MAHA trail ride at Greensfelder Park in October, 2003.
