Louis Fields Obituary

Fields, Louis W. Lou 58, of Webster Groves, Missouri died Sunday, February 24, 2013, surrounded and loved by his caring family. Born May 14, 1954 in Carbondale, Illinois, he was the son of Gayle E. (Glasener) Fields and the late Louis W. Fields, Sr. He was a graduate of Webster Groves High School and the University of Missouri at St. Louis. Lou was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and a partner in the public accounting and business consulting firm of Conner Ash, P.C. where he had worked for 33 years. Over that time, he established strong, longterm relationships with his clients and peers. Lou earned a varsity letter in wrestling in high school and was a brown belt in Karate. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was the proud owner of a prizewinning bluetick coonhound. He loved bird-watching, gardening and cooking for his family. He shared his love of ice hockey with his entire family and enjoyed watching his daughter and son play youth and high school ice hockey. He is loved and survived by his children, Nikki, Rachel and Dan; his mother Gayle; his sisters, Brenda (Charles) Rodi of Del Mar, CA and Kathy (Chester) Murphy of Webster Groves, MO; his friend and spouse, Cyndy Fields; and his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services: A visitation will be held at 3:00 pm, and a memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Webster Groves, 600 N Bompart Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119. A Celebration of Life reception will be held afterwards from 5:00 to 10:00 pm at C.J. Muggs, 101 W Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO 63119. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Missouri Department of Conservation, Donations Coordinator, PO Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180.
