Margaret McDonald Obituary

McDonald, Margaret M. Peggy McMahon Margaret M. Peggy McMahon McDonald, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2010, two weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday with her family. Born August 4, 1920, Peggy was the daughter of the late Alice Maloy and Dr. B. J. McMahon, and the widow of Cornelius M. McDonald, Jr. who died in 2001. She is survived by her two sons, Neil (Nancy) McDonald of St. Louis, MO and Bernard (Suzanne) McDonald of Chicago, IL, and one daughter, Molly McDonald of Ft. Collins, CO. She is also survived by her sister Patsy (the late Jack) Rowan of St. Louis, MO and a brother, Peter (Francy) McMahon of Santa Fe, NM. She was also a sister of the late Polly Dozier and the late Pamela Reese. She was grandmother to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. McDonald was involved in volunteer work in the past at Desloge Hospital, Catholic Women's League, Radio & Television Apostolate and Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation, and served as a Red Cross Nurse's Aid during World War II. Her wonderful spirit will be remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Services: The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Forsyth at Asbury, University City at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. A service of THE LUPTON CHAPEL.
