Marian Steinkamp Obituary
Steinkamp, Marian (née Steinmeyer), entered her Savior's eternal home on August 20, 2025.
Born in 1936 to Walter and Marjorie Steinmeyer, Marian was baptized, taught and confirmed into the Christian faith at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (LCMS) in south St. Louis.
Marian was the beloved wife of Robert, cherished mother of Glenn (Kathy), Allen (Laurie), and David, devoted grandmother of Brad (Lemella), Mike (Manuela), Tom, and Jeff, and proud great-grandmother of Nicolas and Elena. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved and nurtured above all else.
A dedicated homemaker, Marian also worked for many years at the YWCA. She enjoyed needlepoint, camping, cooking, sewing for her loved ones, and gathering with friends for games. She gave generously of her time as a longtime volunteer with Circle of Concern and Meramec Bluffs Senior Home. Marian was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Manchester.
Throughout her life, Marian was blessed by faithful and loving parents, pastors and teachers who continually pointed her to her Savior. She lived in the sure confidence of the promise of eternal life through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For this, we give thanks and praise to God.
Services: Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Church Lutheran Church in Manchester, MO on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:30 a.m. and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Bingo, Bunko, Dominoes, season tickets to Stages - Marian was always ready to play a game or attend a play. She was a lovely lady and we are all better people for having known her.

Although I didn’t get to see her as much as I would’ve liked, Aunt Marian was someone I really looked up to. No matter what was going on in her life, she always wanted to talk about you and your life rather than talk about herself. Her creativity was awe inspiring. I remember the ships with all that detail inside of them that she made or those little fairy houses that had to have taken forever to do. She was warm, inviting and caring. She would always sure that she sent cards to my mom ( her sister-in-law) when mom was in the nursing home. For all of these things and many more she will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Aunt Marian
