Ainsworth, Marilyn M.
(nee Dulin), Passed away at age 81 on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Preceded in death by her first husband Wilbert M. Mueller, Jr., second husband C. Donald Ainsworth, her father and mother Edwin and Dorothy Dulin, and brother and sister-in-law Donald (Carolyn) and Carolyn Dulin. Loving mother of Mark (Shelley) Mueller; stepmother of Chuck Ainsworth (Linda Hennemann) and Maryan Harvey (James Presnell); cherished grandmother of Scott (Greis) McClung, Kelly Ainsworth (Gian Zazzaro), Andrew McClung, Ali Ainsworth (Nick Allen), and Meredith Ainsworth; dear aunt of Brian (Kristen) Dulin; dear great-grandmother (GGG), great-aunt, cousin and friend.
Marilyn graduated from Mehlville High School, married her high school sweetheart, Bill, and started a career in insurance that led to her retiring as Personnel Manager from a large insurance firm headquartered in St. Louis. With Bill, Marilyn enjoyed raising their son, investing in classic cars, and raising and training beagles. After Bill's death, Marilyn married her second husband, Don, with whom she shared many experiences traveling the world while supporting family, friends, and organizations. She was a proud advocate for St. Louis, loved volunteering at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and was a staunch supporter of education (such as the University of Illinois, Washington University in St. Louis, and the St. Louis County Library) and the arts, especially the St. Louis Symphony and STAGES St. Louis.
The family would particularly like to thank Team Marilyn – Abby Mahon, Vera Avery, Cyreatha Butler, Kelly Evans, and Jackie Johnson - the five women who helped care for and supported Marilyn with kindness, respect, and love for more than a year.
