Scarcely a day goes by that I do not remember Marlyn with thanks for all she taught me. Her tolerance for our shenanigans, her good humor, and her sense of responsibility for those less fortunate are entrenched in us all. I love canoing, camping, bird watching, and the glories of the outdoors because of her. I flip a twenty in every troop's treasury during cookie time so that other girls will get just a few of the benefits I received from having Marilyn in my life.

Dear Cathee, Anne, and Jenny -
My deepest condolences to all of you and your families. Your mom was such a special person to our family over the years. How great I could call her Aunt Marlyn! I enjoyed seeing her regularly at church and visiting with her.

Dear Cathee, Anne, and Jenny: Your mom meant so much to so many. She overcame so many tragedies with so much grace, and she always had so much to give. Over the years, so often I've given unspoken thanks to her for introducing me to something that became an important part of my life: camping, kayaking, cooking, community service, continuing education--she has been my role model for my whole life. If I have been a good mother, a good friend, or a good citizen, it is because of Marlyn. And I am deeply saddened that she is no longer in this world. But I know that her influence on those around her will continue eternally. Love to you and your families.

Dear Cousins All,
I am shocked to read today of your darling Mothers passing. I was remiss in not reading the papers while recooperating from surgery and would have attended Your Mothers funeral no matter my condition. Please accept my deepest condolences. Lovingly Gail Fischmann

What a pleasure it was to know your Mother at STL Art Museum events and trips. She never knew a stranger, and
was always warm, kind and loving to all she met, including
me. She will be missed, Elizabeth Swank, docent SLAM
and friend of Anne.

I will always be a fan of your mother's. I first met her at water aerobics and then she recruited me for tutoring at Mitchell School. She taught me the importance of family, community, and love of life. Boy, she was something special.

Cathee, Anne, and Jenny - So many loved your Mom (me included). She influenced many young lives - beginning with us. Wonderful memories of the Adderton Sip and Dip, Girl Scouts, playing spoons a the kitchen table - even food fights. She will remain a part of me forever. Hugs and love to each of you.

Please accept my deepest sympathy as you struggle to balance after the death of you wonderful Mother. I knew her both as a fellow docent and as a "Fin Friend." She is sorely missed. May she rest in peace. Scrath that... May her ongoing travels be peaceful!
