Mary Kadlec Obituary

Kadlec, Mary Agnes Dolly 1928 - 2011 Mary Agnes Dolly Kadlec of Columbia, MO passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon on Monday, March 28th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 903 Bernadette Drive, Columbia, MO. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service. Private burial. Dolly was born on June 3, 1928 in Ferguson, Missouri to Henry and Agnes Jacobi. She was preceded in death by two infant children; five brothers and one sister: George, Vincent, Paul, Jack, and Tom Jacobi and Claudia Evans; and her son-in-law, Ernie Rechterman. Dolly married John Kadlec on February 3, 1951. She is survived by her husband John, her children and their spouses: Judy Rechterman, Lee's Summit; Peggy (Bob) Collins, Kansas City; Johnny (Cindy) Kadlec, Columbia; and Joan (Jeff) Melegrito, Columbia and four grandchildren: Joe and David Collins, Melanie Brown, and Katherine Kadlec. Dolly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her deep faith in God and love for John and their family was evident in all she did. Dolly loved life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the John and Dolly Kadlec Society, 1 Champions Drive, Ste. 200, Columbia, MO 65211; Central Missouri Food Bank, 2101 Vandiver Dr., Columbia, MO 65202, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
