Mary Knollmeyer Obituary

Knollmeyer, Mary

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Sun., Oct. 5, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late George Knollmeyer. She is survived by her children, Mary, George, Mike, Ed, and Greg Knollmeyer; her grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Urban Hubert.

Born in 1935 in Detroit, Mary graduated from Maryville College and worked as teacher briefly before marrying George Knollmeyer in 1958. Together, they had six children. They moved to Saint Louis in 1975, where Mary developed ties in the local Catholic Community. Mary was a devout Catholic, as well as a third order Carmelite, president of our Blessed Mother's Rosary and Scapular Program, and Dame of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.

Mary and her family are extremely grateful to all of her friends and neighbors who treated Mary as family and ensured that she was cared for these last few years.

Services: Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Fri., Oct. 10th at The Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine, 7230 Dale Ave. Visitation at 8:45 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.

Yesterday

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Mary as a third order Carmelite. She was a kind and devoted member. I feel blessed to have known her. May she rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

Yesterday

Mary will be missed by so many. She was the best of friends. If you made a friend of Mary, you had a companion for life. She was such a beautiful soul, her light was so bright.
Mary, pray for us and we will pray for you and George.
I am eternally thankful for the abundant blessing you have been in my life.
May Eternal Rest be granted you and Perpetual Light shine upon you! May you rest in peace!
In Paradisum!
Our Lady of Mt Carmel, pray for us.
