Dear Painter Family,
Maynard use to call on us from Carson Pirie Scott & Co for many years. He was a gentlemen in every sense of the word and a delight be around. He will be missed by many.

Dear Painter family
I was so sorry to hear about Maynards passing. I talked to him several times and we shared so many stories about the Painter family. I am a decendent of John Painter 1754 thru his son Jacob. Maynard contributed so very much to the Painter genealogy. We are so grateful for his research and his generosity in sharing the information. My family will continue to pray for you and know that someday we will meet Maynard and the Painter clan in heaven where all of our questions about the family history will be answered.

Kevin,
I am very sorry for you and your family's loss. When I was new in Litchfield and did not know any on, your father was a man I could always talk to. Of course he did most of the talking. Most of the conversations were about you. He always wanted the best for an wanted you to enjoy success in anything you did. I know as a student and athlete you were not perfect but you always gave me 100% and never let me down. Coach Easton and I would often talk about how many bandits we had on team when you were a senior. After 32 years of coaching, I come to the conclusion that all good teams need a few bandits. Your father instilled some positive qualities in you. You are still one of my favorite players I coached. Thank God we beat Carlinville so could shave and take a bath. With all of my condolences,
