Some how I came across your son's funeral notice in the paper. I do not know your family, but his young face could have been my son, who is now 28 and almost died in 2006. He still struggles to this day, and is also very into music and plays the guitar. I truly know everything you and he must have went through. There are no words to describe the agonizing helplessness you feel. I still pray everyday that this does not happen to my son. My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to your family.

Precious Tom, Carmen and Kristen - you
may not remember me, but I worked with
Donna Lee for years. During that time,
I was at your mother's home and had con-
tact with you through Marsha. I am so
sad to hear of Michael's death. You
have all been through so much, helping
him and loving him during his problems.
I hope that you are comforted that he
is at peace now. I pray that you will
find peace and comfort, in the arms of
our Savior.

Dear Tom, Carmen, Kristen,

On the physical plane we can grieve the loss of this very loving and talented soul. But on the plane of truth, we know that he is held, he is still loving, he still knows you, and his Creator is there. Which means, he has no grief. He is exactly where he belongs, with the Love of Jesus surrounding him and bathing him in phenomenal experience that we cannot even begin to imagine. I know you are a family of faith, and faith will bring you through this. Feel the Love of the Beloved and know that Michael is ecstatic in his new home.

"Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with our lord."

We love you - The Donze's

October 6, 2010

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
