Norman Klayman Obituary

Klayman, Norman H. age 87, October 15, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Peggy (nee Blanke) Klayman; dear son of the late Sol and late Nettie (nee Diamond) Klayman; dear brother of Eunice (Dr. Gerald) Kenner, Geraldine Deutsch and the late Robert (Leona) Klayman; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. Norman was a World War II veteran. He was the former owner and president of Klayman Pants Company for many years. The company was founded by his father, Sol, in 1924. Norman was a longtime supporter of The St. Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Forest Park Forever and Lift for Life. The family would like to thank his devoted caregivers Janice Deavers, Joy Lee, Regina Davis, Chris Goad and Barbara Battles. A special note of gratitude to his loving cousins, Ethel Berg and Karen Goodman, for their exceptional care. Services: Graveside service Sunday, October 20, 10:30 a.m., at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Rd. Norman was a wonderful man. He always had a twinkle in his eye. I had the privilege of getting to know him when I worked at the Zoo. He always had a kind word for everyone and could coax people into doing their best. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.
