Beloved husband of Myrna Fitts (nee Salter); dear father of (Mike) Len (Patricia) Fitts and Paula C. (Bill) Olmstead and the late Mark Stephen Fitts; dear brother of the late Loretta May, Alfa Lee, Johnny Edward, Ethel Heloise; dear grandfather of Jason M. (Toni) Fitts, Jody M. (Chris) Shaffer, Jacob M. Fitts, Kyle M. and Evan B. Olmstead and the late Joshua M. Fitts; dear great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle cousin and friend of many.Services: Mr. Fitts in state at FEY Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Rd, South of Lindbergh, Sun., Aug. 27, 2 p.m.-9 p.m., then to the First Baptist Church of Lemay, 1601 Telegraph Rd. for services Mon., Aug. 28, 9:30 a.m. Interment National Cemetery.
Mr. Fitts was a Deacon and Charter member of the First Baptist Church of Lemay. Retired member of the IBEW Local #1439, SSgt. of the United States Army Air Corps. 34th Bombsquad, 17 Bomb Group, Decorated Veteran of W.W.II, European, African and Mid Eastern Ribbon, Four Bronze Stars, American Campaign Medal, Alt Medal with 2 Oak Clusters, P.O.W. Metal, Purple Heart, 1 Over Seas Bar and Good Conduct Medals. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Lemay.
