I was just made aware of Paul's passing in the Journal of the Missouri Bar. I remember Paul, from our time together at St. Louis University Law, and at Laclede. He was always an honorable man, always had a smile. Even though over the years our professional lives diverged, he remained a part of my memories. My condolences to his family.

I just received my issue of Tne Journal of the Missouri Bar and was shocked and saddened to learn of Pauls's passing. We attended St. Louis University School of Law together and spent a summer clerking for Attorney Rich Witzel downtown. We had lunch every day at The Mayflower. Wonderful memories.

But I do know how proud he is of Peter and the effort and wonderful attitude he displayed Saturday in his soccer game vs Chaminade , I was truly thrilled for Peter / his classmates and his family and certainly for Paul watching !!

Paul was a good man and as an opponent he was a respectable attorney who conducted himself as a gentleman. I was recently against him on a case and enjoyed getting to know him. I am saddened to learn of his passing and wish his family the best.

To The Simon Family - I shared some great moments with Paul during his years at De Smet. I don't know that I have ever coached a player that was more intense and hard-nosed. He made every opponent he played against remember him as that pesky guy who would not go away. He attacked life the same way. His generous spirit has touched so many here in the St. Louis area. He was just a special guy. My prayers go out to his wife and family. Paul and the Lord will watch over you all.

I will never forget climbing up in a tree with Paul when we were kids (and next door neighbors) and talking and talking and talking. What a gem. We, of course, jumped down from waaay too high in the tree on mutual double dog dares. A great loss.
