Richard Kelly Obituary

Kelly, Richard Emil age 87, peacefully met our Lord while saying his Litany to the Holy Trinity prayer on Monday, December 13th. Beloved husband for 63 years of Katie; Loving father of David (Jenny), Susan Charleville, Maureen, Dan (Sherry), Tracy Bazoian (Scott) and Rick (Barb). He was a fun and playful Grandpa to Cynthia, Tina, Jack, Clayton, Pete, George, Casey and Saint Matthew. Richard spent his life in St Louis Missouri. He attended Cleveland High School where he met his beautiful wife. He received a B.A. from St. Louis University and graduated from Harvard Advanced Management School. He was a Vice President of Mallinckrodt Chemical and President of Kellco Intl. Richard lived a Christ centered life. He never met a stranger and went out of his way to make people feel special. He was a gentleman and shared his positive outlook on life with every one he came into contact. He enjoyed many hobbies among them his garden railroad, restoring vintage cars, coins, stamps and art. He was happiest when he was with family and encouraging us in every way possible. He has left us with a million wonderful memories and funny stories. We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 p.m. at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester, Kirkwood. Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Majella Church, 2005 Dougherty Ferry Rd, Kirkwood 63122, Saturday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The White House Retreat, 7400 Christopher Drive, St Louis 63129. www. boppchapel.com

Dear Family Members,
Indeed, mere words are inadequate to express our feelings regarding the loss of your wonderful husband and father. Both Dick and I enjoyed very much conversing with Rich; he was so entertaining and caring with a spirit that encompassed all within his company. Definitely, he was one of the good guys who had it all: kind, religious, gregarious, successful, and pious. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
