I wish we had been in touch more. I had so much fun growing up with Rob. Loved going to his house (cherry bombs, steam engines, air planes). Had a great time in Estes in '58, he taught me so much, horseback riding, calf roping, photography, how to wash new blue jeans (tied in a knot and put in a mountain stream for a week), how to roll a cigarette with one hand and much more. I'll miss him.

Our condolences to Judy and to all the Corley family. Bob and I were friends and Air Force pilots in the same C-130 squadrons for nearly four years as we flew missions in Europe, Southeast Asia and the US. Most memorably, we were crewed together for over three months flying night missions over Laos and North Vietnam. Bob was a wonderful guy to work with and loved to express his subtle British type of humor. I am indebted to Bob for all the kindness he expressed to me over the years. Blue skies, Bob.

How sad. I have known Rob since I was seven. I always appreciated, as the Notice reads, his "kindness, patience, dignity and gentle humor." Upon our first meeting as a playtime way back then ( circa 1948), was a tribute to his dignity under test since he bounded out of he door to greet me in his authentic SUPERMAN costume...instant envy, and then following him to a second floor window was gong to demonstrate how he could now "FLY"across the driveway circle and land on the lawn beyond.
Thankfully Mrs. Corley saved his life and lessened his bravado by grabbing the cape before the moment of launch.
There were other instances where his genuine humanity and humility were evident, and I am both sad and proud that I had the pleasure to be a friend of such a fine person.
My sincere condolences to the family. I intend to be at the Service.
