Robert F. Jehle

Jehle, Robert F. of Webster Groves, MO, passed away on Jan 20, 2017, at the age of 89. Loving husband of Betty Jane Jehle (née Lovell) for 66 years, father of Joanne Byrd, Geoffrey Jehle and Michael Jehle, grandfather to Erin Byrd, Kamran Jehle, Zander Jehle and Adam Jehle, and great-grandfather to Peyton Eyster. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Alma Jehle, as well as his brother Allen Bud Jehle and Betty Alden, and his grandson Kristofer Byrd. An avid sailor all his life, Robert competed in regattas from Alton Lake, Illinois to Door County, Wisconsin and particularly enjoyed family sailing trips in the Caribbean. He proudly served his country in the United States Army after WWII in the Occupation of Japan, and then served again during the Korean War as a decorated 1st Lieutenant. A graduate of Webster Groves High School, Robert received his BA and MBA from Washington University. Then followed a long career in business as CEO of Stephens Business Forms and President of the Printing Industries of St Louis until his retirement. In later years, Robert was a keen reader, gardener and volunteer with the St. Louis Ballet. Services: Private Services were held at Valhalla.
