My Dear Auntie Ruth,
I am so sorry that I didn't come by to see you more often. I remember all you have done for me from planting the garden behind your home in UCity, help Moe have her puppies, climbing up the ladder to the roof with a paint brush, tap and ballet lessons and, yes, especially the Christmas that I got Duchess and the dance teacher asked what we got for Christmas and I blurted out about Duchess and that she pooped in the house, I still remember the look on your face, you were horrified. I remember the grey dress with black trim you made for me, I still have the picture. You took me and Gwen to the Windergarden and paid for ice skating lessons. I loved that. I remember the time you took me and Gwen to the Hideout and when Gwen ordered Fried Chicken you told the waitress to bring her a knife and fork because she wasn't going to eat with her fingers? Yes, Christopher was right, you sure were a stickler about manners. Lastly, you were wonderful to my children and most of all to me, too!!! I just want you to know that I love you and miss you. Oh, give Stacy and Peg a hug and kiss for me and dad (if he's up there), too (ha ha)
Love,
Bridget

Our hearts and prayers go out to Ruth's family. She was a sweet and pleasant lady. May all of you have memories to turn to for comfort, friends to turn to for support, and hope and strength to ease your sadness.

I worked with Ruth for several years. One memory I have of Ruth is when she used to bring some of her homemade food to the office and it was devoured within minutes. Ruth was a great lady - may she rest in peace.

I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Ruth in the late 60s, early 70s. She was always down to earth, told it like it was, and always covered my back. What a wonderful person. I will miss her.
