Sharon Hill Obituary

Hill, Sharon Kay (nee Crist), baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Thursday, Feb 4, 2016 She was a beautiful and extremely generous person devoted to her children and family. This devotion was displayed through her deep appreciation for Catholic faith, commitment to education for her children, and unconditional love for family. She loved for everyone to be together celebrating over great food and company. Her roast beef and mac & cheese were legendary. We take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with her father John Crist and 4 dogs she was very fond of. She will remain with us in spirit and we will continue to build upon her legacy serving the needs of children. Daughter of John Crist, Sharon is survived by her sons Jim, Tim, Michael and John Hill. Daughter-inlaws Pam, Tina, Amanda, and Erika Hill. Sharon was a loving grandmother to Kyerstin, Delaney, Adrienne, Campbell, Macy, Jimmy, Jack, Ava, Kyle, and Mason Hill. Services: Funeral Mass at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 15642 Clayton Rd., Ellisville, Tuesday, 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sharon's name may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, where all funds will be earmarked for sending children to Sharon's favorite family destination, Disney World. A service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory. Friend's may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

I still have the beautiful white orchid she gave me. Almost as a tribute to her, the orchid just bloomed again. Go bless you, my friend!

I still think of Sharon and what a faithful and generous friend she was. I have three beautiful orchids thanks to her. She died a few weeks after I retired. I wish I could have been there for her....
Rest In Peace, Sharon.

Sharon was my neighbor, friend and confidant for many years on Waterside. I moved in July and have checked in with her from time to time and got a disconnect tonight. She was a wonderful friend. So sorry for your loss. She lived for her family and friends. I am crushed. Please give Tink a hug for me.

Jim,Tim,Mike,John and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked side by side with your mom for four years at IRS. She was a conscientious, hardworking, kind lady of great faith and character. She was always polite to the callers, tried to help everyone, and made life more bearable in the office with her thoughtfulness, generosity, and humor. She was a true friend who supported me when I lost my dad. She came to the viewing and then went right next door to Imo's and sent pizzas over - so typical of Sharon! She gave me an orchid which still blooms and she introduced me to Fitz root beer. She made all of us better and I will miss her. She was so proud of each of you guys, loved her daughter-in-laws, and adored her grandchildren. In your sorrow, think of her now in glory.

I was deeply saddened to hear about "Ms. Sharon's" (as I affectionately called her) passing. I wish I had gotten the opportunity to see her one last time or to at least say goodbye. I truly loved her. She was very sweet and nurturing. We were teammates at the IRS since we both started in 2008. She was a sweetheart and will be sorely missed. Fly high Ms. Sharon I love and will miss you dearly

To the Hill Family
I do not have the words to express the loss I feel and the one that I know all of you feel. Sharon was my inspiration as a Mom to let the little things go and have fun with your kids. I am thankful that I learned that lesson. All she ever talked about were her boys and her no less than perfect grandchildren. She gave her entire heart to her family and friends and I will miss her terribly, especially when I have a Grammy story to tell. Love you guys.

I have no doubt that Grammy will be missed immeasurably, but if I know you, Amanda, she will live on in the many traditions you will now carry on for her. She raised a fine man in Mike and I am confident that she is so pleased to have all of her family together again as you celebrate and honor her life and legacy. Jim, Tim, Michael, and John - Harking back to the SLUH years, I have many fond memories of your mom from spending time at the Hill home. She was always a gracious host and especially a patient parent, putting up with whatever gaggle of boys happened to be at the house! But most of all, she was a loving mother to you all. My condolences to you and your families.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you (and all of us too) as we mourn the loss of your incredible mom. Jim, Tim, Michael and John-I do not need to tell you how amazing your mom was and how much she adored each of you and your families. You guys were everything to her and you made her so proud. There are so many things I will miss about her...her roast beef and pasta con broccoli of course but also her loyalty and compassion for her family and friends. I am sure when she got to heaven she was put in charge of some sort of catering, something related to dogs or she is persuading Jesus to open a Disney World in heaven. She was one of a kind and I am so thankful to have known her and loved her.
